We work to create a sustainable balance between nature conservation and offering authentic and adventurous experiences in the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea is the foundation of our tours, and therefore we also believe that we have a responsibility to protect this unique ecosystem, which is of great importance to nature, wildlife, and millions of migratory birds far beyond Denmark’s borders.

Sustainability is an active part of everyday life and of the experiences on Mandø and in the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is why responsibility is taken, among other things, by:

• organising an annual waste collection along 16 km of the Ribe Dike in collaboration with the local community
• avoiding the use of artificial light on tours in the dark to protect nature and wildlife
• keeping a respectful distance from seals and birds to minimise disturbance
• limiting the use of disposable materials as much as possible
• collaborating with local partners and eateries that use local ingredients
• creating nature experiences that give guests a deeper understanding of the Wadden Sea’s nature, history, and fragile balance

The aim is not only to showcase the Wadden Sea, but to create personal experiences that strengthen respect for nature and the connection to Mandø and the unique life in the tidal area.
